Facilities Service Central Goes Live Monday: What to Expect

Greetings Colleagues,

I am excited to share that Facilities Service Central will launch at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 7. This new system makes it easier than ever to report your facilities-related issues and track their progress. With real-time updates, faster response times, and 24/7 access, you’ll always know the status of your request. Just submit a request online, and we’ll take care of the rest!

What’s Happening to My Existing Work Orders?

As we transition to the new system, our team is diligently migrating more than 7,000 existing work orders. This process will continue through early May, with priority given to:

  • Urgent and Emergency work orders (handled without delay)
  • Work orders with open financial transactions or pending purchase requests
  • Project-related work orders
  • Routine work orders held since March 3, 2025

Billing Pause During Transition
Some technical billing processes are also changing. As a result, billing will be paused from April 7 through early May.

Need to Follow Up on a Request?
Our teams are learning a new system, and some processes have changed, so delays may happen. If your previous request hasn’t been transferred within one to two weeks and you still need service, please contact your facility manager or submit a new request through Facilities Service Central using your UMD login.
