SHIFT Update: April 2025 - SHIFT has launched!

Good morning,

We are thrilled to announce that AssetWorks is now LIVE! Thank you for your efforts in attending in-person training over the last few weeks. Thank you to all the SHIFT Trainers who provided training to over 600 end users across FM and DSA. As we move into the post-go-live phase, we are committed to supporting your use of the system to its fullest potential. Below, you'll find important next steps and helpful information to guide you through this transition.

Facilities Service CentralWhat you can do:

  • Technicians: Log in to your Go Work Management App on your iOS device using your UMD login and look at your assigned work orders. As you begin completing your work orders, don’t forget to swipe on time.
  • Supervisors: Log into AiM using your UMD login.
  • Bookmark the Facilities Service Central and AiM on your device.

Supervisors: NEW Time Approval Process
Please log in to AiM to approve labor time/wrench time on Work Order Phases for your staff. We recommend that supervisors complete this task for their staff on a daily basis, beginning tomorrow. You can see an overview of the timecard approval and adjustment process, including a system demonstration, here.

What’s happening with pre-existing work tickets?
Please be patient, as it will take time to move more than 7,000 work tickets from the old systems to AssetWorks. You can expect to see these tickets migrate today and throughout this week. They will be migrated based on priority, ensuring that emergency and urgent work tickets remain unaffected and giving precedence to customer-driven tasks.

What’s Next:
Capital Planning and Project Management (CPPM) IN PERSON training will begin this week. If you are identified to attend this training, you will receive training invites and meeting details from shift@umd.edu.

We greatly appreciate the continued dedication and effort of all those involved.

Sincerely,
