SHIFT Update - Feb. 7, 2024

We’re back with another update on the AssetWorks implementation. As a reminder, AssetWorks has three key components:

  • ReADY Request is our customer service portal. You can get to it on a desktop or through the ReADY Request app.
  • AiM is the brains and “back end” portion of the IWMS.
  • GO is the mobile app for our field staff.

Here’s What We’ve Done:

  • The Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Space and Property modules are in the final setup stages and are almost ready for testing.
  • More self-service tiles/buttons are set up in ReADY Request, our customer service portal.
  • The Keys and Access module is well into the development stage of processes and procedures.

Here’s What’s Coming Up:

  • AssetWorks (ReADY, AiM, and GO) is launching on May 31.
  • Testing begins Feb 26 and will continue through spring.
  • We are scheduling AssetWorks training, taking place March - May.
  • Due to the Elevate delay, SHIFT will integrate into KFS first. Work ticket billing is our top priority, and the SHIFT team is working on this critical integration into our business operation.

How You Can Participate

Did You Know?

Did you know that you can attach photos to service requests using the ReADY Request app? Photos reduce the time needed to confirm issues, provide staff with information to make decisions, and save money.

Patience and Trust

We are all excited about the opportunities our new IWMS will provide. However, we’ve had our current work management tools for many years - they feel comfortable and we know them like the back of our hands. Day 1 with AiM will not feel comfortable. Our focus has been and will continue to be on providing a system that allows for the completion of all necessary work functions first (crawl), followed by process improvements (walk), and the flexibility to include advancements as processes evolve (run). We will all be students on day 1.

Sincerely,

Aynsley Toews               Andrea Crabb
